On July when we had long vacation I went backpacking to Sekotong – West Lombok and spent a week exploring around. Only few weeks after that I went back there but not as a backpacker but as a guide this time, so the trip was pretty fancy lol. But it look me few months to get in the mood to write about it -,-
We chose The Suites Lombok to stay at cause it looks nice and very close to the gilis we wanted to go to. The hotel is pretty new anyway, they still don’t even finish the construction yet for some rooms. But the access was pretty bad, even our taxi driver drove so slow and so worried about his car :D
The room is so clean and I
like the room decoration, some rooms have their private pools and the food was
great too, and of course the pool \\(^o^)//
even tho I couldn’t swim but I still got into the water and acted like I could
swim -,-. The best part is that the hotel location is sunset point, so staying
there gave us lots of things to enjoy.
The hotel staff offered us
a package to go to some Gilis around and I chiose the same 3 Gilis I went to
before, Gili Nanggu, Gili Sudak & Gili Kedis. All these Gilis especially
Gili Kedis are soooo close from our hotel, if I could swim I would just swim to
those islands without renting a boat -,-. But anyway we paid Rp. 250,000 for 3
islands include live jackets and snorkel gear. 1st we went to Gili
Sudak which only took about 5 minutes boat ride. We stopped there just to have
lunch. Gili Sudak has some restaurants and a hotel in it.
Even tho it was pretty
good snorkeling spot we didn’t go snorkeling, just stayed there for an hour for
lunch then we decided to continue to Gili Nanggu, but on the way we changed our
mind especially me -,- cause before Gili Nanggu, there is another Gili, Gili
Tangkong. I wanted to go somewhere new so I convinced them to just stop in Gili
Tangkong instead of Gili Nanggu and everyone agreed \\(^o^)//.
But I think Gili Tangkong is one of the least visited Gilis, it was not as
crowded as other Gilis but it still has a restaurant and the view was nice with
its yellowish sands and clear blue water.
We went snorkeling but we couldn’t
really find anything cause we were too lazy to even asked where the best
snorkeling spot was. It was super hot that we didn’t really want to walk around
so we decided to move to the next gili only after 20 minutes being there -_-. But
btw even tho it was not so many people but there were another group having a
meet up event or something, but there were some people wearing the same shirts
and singing and playing games and it was pretty noisy. Noise & the sun heat
are not a good combination :(. I didn't even have any pics of Gili Tangkong,,,i just realized now.......

Our last stop was Gili
Kedis, it’s the closest Gili from our hotel. Gili Kedis is so tiny that we
could walk around the whole island within few minutes. But it’s so popular that
everytime I went there, always crowded :(. The
view was not as good as before but it was still great, and again I was too lazy
to even walk around and just laying on the bench. I don’t understand why I did
the trip if I was even too lazy to do anything -,-.
But Gili Kedis is a tiny
island I wish I could own for myself L. Surrounded
by white sands and clear blue water. I don’t know about snorkeling but even
just for laying down or drinking coffee, it was a cool place for that lol.
There are some swings that I had to wait for the kids to take turn till I finally
got my turn. And that many other people waiting for their turn after me made me
can’t take any good pictures of it -_-. Yeah sometimes I go somewhere just to
take pictures especially to a place I’ve been to before :D
