It’s been 3 months since my last trip, something holds
me back from traveling lately, it’s called movies & dramas -,-. Been
staying home every weekend for 3 months to do this movie marathon till I finally
realized I miss going somewhere. So when we had this 3 days off on March, I decided
to go to Senaru – North Lombok.
It was a pretty long way to go for only 3 days off
tho, we left Sumbawa at 11.40 am by 30 minutes flight then continue with 45
minutes bus ride to Mataram (Damri Rp. 30,000) and after taking lunch near the
terminal, we ordered Grab to take us to Senaru and it took over 2 hours to get
there and it costs Rp. 307,000.
We arrived in Senaru around 5 pm were pretty tired
already especially me who always feel sick after car or bus ride -,-. We stayed
at Rinjani Lodge which was only like 100 meters from the entrance to go to
waterfalls. The place is really nice, it has a restaurant and 2 infinity pools
with amazing mountain view.
As I heard they have a very beautiful sunrise view at
the hotel so I was excited to wake up the next day to see it. It was pretty
cloudy tho but the sunrise was still pretty good, it shines over the infinity
pools, with the clouds reflection in the water, it created a breathtaking view of
the dawn.
After enjoying sunrise we had breakfast then started
to walk to the waterfalls. The entrance is very close to our hotel and we only
had to pay Rp. 5,000/person to enter. It took 10 minutes walking from the
entrance to the 1st waterfall, Sendang Gila. We had to go through
hundred of stairs which was pretty easy to climb down but later was pretty hard
to climb up :D.
Sendang Gila waterfall is about 100 meters high, it
doesn’t really have a pool but it was beautiful with 3 divided layers, there
were also some resting areas and also a praying room available. It was still
pretty early so there were still no other visitors around besides some local
people who sell food and drinks. We didn’t have much time cause we gotta go
back to hotel before check out time so we only stayed for like 15 minutes then
we continue walking to the 2nd waterfall.
It took us 25 minutes to walk from Sendang Gila to Tiu
Kelep Waterfall and I regret not bringing any waterproof case for my phone
cause the water splashed everywhere that it was difficult to take pictures :(.
But Tiu Kelep is one of my most favorite waterfalls in Indonesia, it was
beautiful and it has beautiful pools under but the water was so cold, it comes
from the natural spring of Rinjani mountain.
Again, still no other people
around. It was my 1st of 3 times going there without any other
visitors, before there were always other hundreds of people around. But since
we didn’t have much time we stayed there only for 15 minutes then we walked
back to the entrance where we had to go back to the 1st waterfall 1st
and climb up those hundred stairs and it was pretty tiring -,-. But actually to
go to those 2 waterfalls we took only 1,5 hours.
We got back to hotel then took shower and get ready to
go to Mataram cause our flight would be the next morning so we better stay
somewhere not so far from the airport. This flight schedule is no fun at all
tho, we gotta move in a hurry but I still really enjoyed the short trip, I miss
being in Senaru, I miss those waterfalls and they keep making me wanna go back
there <3
