Finding Beaches (Labangka)

It shouldn’t be that hard to find good beaches in Sumbawa. But my poor memory and bad navigation skill made it so hard to find a beach i’ve been to few months ago, or the other beaches i went to many times before. Wish i could upgrade brain and memory -,-.

Sooo..last Saturday i meant to show a friend a nice beach i was camping at few months ago. It was Tanjung Panas, located in Suka Damai Village - Labangka 4. I loved it there, we were camping on the hill and it has very nice seaview from the hill. We could climb down the hill and got to the white sandy beach that almost connect to fresh water river. Or from the other side of the hill, we could get on the other side of the sandy beach where we did baby turtles release few months ago.

I loved the place so much that i wanted to show someone about that beach but ended up spending too much time just to find the way in and it was cloudy that day and not so many people we could ask, but anyway Labangka beaches are amazing but still not that famous. Not so much info we could get about it. 

And when i finally found a way in, it looked completely different. Cause that camping background was already full with wild grass that i wasn’t sure it was the same place, and i couldn’t get to the beach or the river. Difficult to get through the grass cause those kind of sticky and thorny plants got on my newww pants and it took exactly 1 hour to take it all off -,-.

A guy we met there who was cutting the grass suggested us to just go to Labangka 1 beach cause it was easier to get to. Well i’ve been to Labangka 1 few times so i was pretty sure i could find the way to the beach. The beach i know there was Liang Dewa beach, went there twice but again, my bad memory made us taking the wrong directions couple times.

When we finally got to the beach, well not exactly the beach i meant to. There is some kind of Cause we stil gotta walk for a lil bit to get to that Liang Dewa. But there were some guys drinking beer, i don’t say they were bad people but it was just 2 of us and lil bit worried that if those people got drunk and something bad happen......so we decided to just find other place. We even talked a lil bit to those guys actually they seemed nice but we just wanted to be careful. They suggested us to go to Labangka 5 instead.

I started to get upset and annoyed at that time,,,to myself. That because of me, we spent too much time just to find the place and still couldn’t get what we wanted. But then we decided to go to Labangka 5 and looked at the maps to find the right way that is good for car. When we found it, we realized that we went there before. And after we finally got to the beach, it was very cloudy that the beach didn’t really look that nice -,-.

We just stopped to take few pictures and back to the car and thinking about what we had been doing that day. Spent all day just to find beaches that we couldn’t really enjoy but in the end, travel is not only about the places we go to but also  enjoying the journey and have fun with someone we travel with :D.

So we still had fun and even tho just to see the beaches a lil bit, but Labangka beaches are always nice. Big waves and white sandy beaches and quiet surroundings. That these places actually deserve to get more attention but somehow still not so many are interested in visiting those beaches, i guess it's also because of transportation, facilities and access problem. But even tho i always forget the ways to those beaches, i'm never bored going there. I can forget the way but never forget its beauties \\(^o^)//
