Gili Trawangan - Lombok

Who doesn’t know Gili Trawangan, it’s like one of the most popular places in Indonesia. I wrote about it together with the other Gilis before (Gili Air & Gili Meno) but i recently went there again so i feel like writing about it with my new story and of course new pictures :D.

A night before heading to Gili. T, we stayed at Senggigi area. From the hotel we stayed at we booked a micro bus for 14 people and it costs us Rp. 575.000 to Bangsal which took about 40 minutes driving. Gili T itself is one of 3 gilis in the northwest coast of Lombok Island. Precisely in Gili Indah Village, Pemenang District, North Lombok. Among 3 Gilis, Gili.T is the most famous and crowded one.

The driver dropped us to the terminal in Bangsal. Cars are not allowed to bring you till the port so we had to stop at terminal which is actually about 400 meters from the port so we could actually walk but we took the horse cab instead. 1 cab could only take 4 passenger at once and we paid Rp. 5.000/person.

There are 2 kinds of boat that people can take to get to Gili, the wooden one or fast boat. After discussed, we decided to take the offer for private fast boat that costs us Rp. 1.200.000 for 14 people round trip and we could go to Gili.T right away. We tayed 1 night in Gili.T so the boat would pick us up the next day. 

In this rainy season, we were pretty lucky cause that day we went to Gili. T it was pretty sunny. It took less than 15 minutes to get to Gili.T and because our hotel is in the other part of the island so we took another horse cab. It costs Rp. 150,000/cab for 20 minutes riding.

We stayed at Pandawa Beach Resort, it was pretty cool resort with beachfront restaurant and the main reason i choose that hotel cause they have that swing in the sea and i always wanted to take a picture there -,-. The other reason was cause it is a perfect sunset point. The hotel room was pretty nice, but the wall was pretty thin that it was easy to hear the sound from the next room but luckily our next room was not a ‘noisy couple’ buahahaha -,-

The main problem was only mosquitos,,,mosquitos eveywhere. The hotel also has rental bycycle, i just tried a lil bit for less than hundred meters lol. I felt like chillin’ at the beach only. The hotel also has i don’t even know how to call, a heart shape decoration at the beach that they prolly made it for those romantic couples to take pics at but being single didn’t stop me to take a romantic picture there -,-.

I went snorkeling a lil bit too, at hotel beach area and i didn’t swim too far so i didn’t really get a good underwater view even tho i could see some fish around. For taking picture on that swing at the sea, i kinda had to wait longer cause many other couples wanted to take pictures there too. Watching those couple taking romantic pictures on swing and heart shape decoration kinda annoyed me lololol -,-

But unluckily being a perfect sunset point was useless when it as cloudy -,-. We hang out at the beach waiting for sunset while playing games and taking pictures and annoyed other people by our noise. But it was cloudy and was too busy playing games that we even forgot about enjoying sunset. Then walking around looking for to eat, the food in hotel area was a bit pricy. But anyway it was Gili. T, food is always more expensive there -,-.

But the beach is always nice, always clean and our hotel area was pretty quiet. No loud music or party around which was good, didn’t feel like partying lol, no budget for a party anyway -,-. We went back to Lombok island the next morning, picked up by the same fastboat and took another horse cabs while planning for the next visit in my head -,-.
