Due to our Company’s 6th anniversary, our boss decided to celebrate it in a different way this year, that was company trip to Bali woooohooooo. The anniversary was actually on July 17th but for some reason we did the trip on September and for some other reason too, it was only 11 people participated in this trip.
From Sumbawa to Bali we took morning flight at 6.20 am
via Lombok and arrived in Bali around 8.00 am. Right after we got out from the
airport and 2 guides were already there waiting for us and we didn’t wanna
waste time so we directly went to our 1st destination, Garuda Wisnu Kencana
(GWK) cultural park which was like 20 minutes driving from the airport. GWK is
located in Badung Regency, about 40 km southern of Denpasar. This GWK statue is
like the icon of Bali island. To enter this park, we had to pay Rp. 60.000 for
Indonesian and Rp. 100.000 for Foreigner.
Inside the park, besides GWK statue, we can see the
statue of the mythical bird,Garuda. Well of course there was a story behind it
that you can read in the stone relief around the statue, i’m not gonna tell
about the story here so you can just go there and read it yourself haaaaaaaa.
After walking around the park we went to Amphitheatre, this theatre is one of
the facilities you can enjoy at this park besides restaurant, Lotus pond, art
shop, exhibition hall, and street theatre for live music or other performances.
So we watched a performance of balinese traditional instrument and Barong Dance
and other cultural performances. It was pretty exciting.
After GWK cultural park, we
continue trip to our next stop, Waterblow, located in Nusa Dua beach near Grand
Hyatt hotel, it took only 30 minutes driving from GWK. It’s such a nice place
to enjoy the water blows against the rocks.
We didn’t even have to pay any admission fee to enter this place at that
time. It was so many people there. After that we went to a traditional balinese
restaurant to eat Ayam Betutu, it was yummyyyy \(^o^)/
After lunch we continue driving
to Pandawa Beach, it took about another 30 minutes driving. Pandawa beach is
located in Kutuh Village, Badung Regency, southern of Bali. Some people call it
secret beach cause it was pretty difficult to access, surrounded by white stone
cliff, but it’s like this beach is getting more and more popular and the
government managed this beach pretty quickly maybe because they could see the
potential of it. Pandawa itself is taken
from the name of 5 brothers from Mahabarata who are Yudistira, Arjuna, Bima,
Nakula & Sadewa. Along the road at the beach you can find the statues of
those bothers. You can also do paragliding there which seemed so fun
\(^o^)/
After Pandawa beach we went to
our Hotel. It was Grand Barong Resort in Legian, the hotel is pretty nice, it
has pool bars and the rooms are also nice \(^o^)/ love it love it \(^o^)/. At
night we went to Take Japanese Restaurant in Legian. Honestly i’m never into
Japanese food or any other foreign food or maybe all food in general -_-. But
it was great experiences tho. From the restaurant we went to see Bali Bombing
Monument which is actually close to our hotel, that we just walked to our hotel
after.
2nd day, after breakfast, around
9 am we drove to Ubud, visited Bali zoo. To be honest it was my 1st time going
to the zoo, i never thought i would ever go to a zoo before since im afraid of
almost all animals. Well i won’t talk
much about zoo cause going to a zoo is always just about meeting or feeding
animals and taking pictures, but sorry i don’t know how much we paid to enter
this zoo, our boss took care of it \(^o^)/
From the zoo, we had lunch and then
continue to Goa Gajah Temple, Goa means cave and gajah means elephant. It’s
still in Ubud area, which was about 30 minutes driving from the zoo. Before
entering the temple area, we passed by many stores that sell Balinese products
like baliness dresses, beach hats, souvenirs and blabla. It was smart cause it
was difficult to pass them by without buying something, but Thank God i didn’t
fall for it \(^o^)/. We paid like Rp. 15.000 for 1 person for admission fee to
enter the temple. Since i wore shorts, they gave me some clothes to cover my
legs cause it was holy place. The temple is not that big, there was a holy
pond, and many people took pictures in front of the Elephant cave, i was one of
them -_-. I entered the cave, not that big and there were some statues inside,
some people were with their own guides so i didn’t know anything about it since
i had no one to tell me anything.
Around 2 pm, we finished our tour but since we had
lots of time, so we went to do something more productive,,,shopping -_-. We
went to Krishna store, it’s like souvenir store, the prices were pretty cheap
actually but again i hold myself not to shop a lot so let’s not talk about this
shopping thing -_-. But we spent like 3 hours for shopping :D, I only bought
something for my mum and my adopted kid tho \(^o^)/.
In the evening for dinner we went to another Japanese
restaurant >.<, Yakiniku Resto. It was yah great actually but again im
not into food so let’s skip this one. And just like the night before we stopped
at Bali Bombing monument, that road is very crowded, many bars and restaurants.
Thats one of things i like about Bali, the nightlife. It’s not like i go to
those bars and enter those fancy restaurants. I just stood there in front of
the bar and dance like a weirdo from their music >.<
3rd day which was our last day we didn’t really do
much. After breakfast, we had free time, me personally used my time to take
some pics at the pool, nah i didn’t swim since i can’t swim, yea it sucks cause
the pools are just so cuteeee. After taking some pics at the pool, i packed my
stuff and ready to check out. After checked out we still keep our stuff at the
hotel while we went to have lunch, and it was at that Take Japanese Resto again
>.<
Around 2.30 pm we drove to the airport, our flight
from Bali to Sumbawa was at 3.45 pm. It was only like 3 days 2 nights in Bali
for that company trip, but we really did as many things as possible. Everyone
really enjoyed it for sure \(^o^)/. It’s like i’m gonna need the same kind of
anniversary celebration every single year haaaaaaaaaaa....Thanks boss :P
