Labangka 4 Beach - Sumbawa

I call it Labangka 4 beach cause it is located in Labangka 4 village, Labangka District – Sumbawa. I asked some people about its name but no one really knows it. So i guess call it Labangka 4 beach is okay for now. It is one of many amazing beaches in the south part of Sumbawa Island.

So i 1st found out about this beach was when we ‘Adventurous Sumbawa’ went on an adventure to Pelman Waterfall in Plampang District which is next to Labangka District. Actually Labangka is a new district which was a part of Plampang before. From Sumbawa Besar to Plampang, it took about 1,5 hours driving.

In the afternoon after we explored the waterfall, some people wanted to see sunset at the nearest beach. Then the leader of the group said that he had a surprise for us so we drove for another 30 minutes to get to Labangka District, precisely Labangka 4. From the main road to the beach we passed by corn field, Labangka is famous with their corn anyway.

Aaaaand, his suprise was really surprising!. I went to Labangka a lot but never seen this beach before, never even heard about it. It was like soooo empty, sooo quiet, so clean too actually. Its white sands are just wonderful and the water is so clear and blue. Maybe because it was my 1st time seeing it and i was just so amazed of how beautiful and peaceful it was.

That’s why couple weeks after that, i brought my brother with his friends to go there again. On my 2nd coming, it was so nice but i felt like 1st time i went there was so much better. But my brother and his friends felt the way i felt on my 1st coming tho. And at that time it was only us, so it felt like we were at our private beach and it felt so wonderful.

Usually south beaches always have big waves. But at that beach the big waves are hundreds meters away so i felt safe to swim. But umm,, not really,,,still felt unsafe since i can’t swim so i was just swimming around in the shallow part. And there was like a round pool inside the water that if the water is down, we could really see it like a natural pond.

What i like most was how quiet it was. Well just like any other beaches in the south. Most of it are quiet. And there is no sign or anything to get to this beach, even on my 2nd coming, i passed the way in cause it was just confusing. But once you knew the way in from the main road (as i remember it was next to a small warehouse) it’s gonna be easy to find the beach. Just drive through the footpath among the corn field till you find the beach. Just don’t forget to bring enough food since no restaurants around and it takes time to get to the village.
