4 Days Trip to Bali & Makassar

Last July after Eid we still had some days off and it was pretty boring to just spend it at home so i decided to do a short trip to Makassar via Bali. Well even tho only staying in Bali for few hours while waiting for my next flight going to Makassar which should be at 8 pm but it was delayed till midnight -,-. So i had half day in Bali that i was spending with my bestfriend who lives there.

We actually only spent time in a mall at Kuta Beach for lunch. After walking around the mall, entered every store without buying anything, ended up having lunch at a beachfront restaurant which was really nice. Good food good view but after having a good day at Kuta Beach, i had to stay for few hours at the airport till midnite cause of the delay -,-.

I finally arrived at Makassar at 2 am and cause it was pretty late then i stayed at a hotel at the airport. And in the morning at 8 am i moved to another hotel right in front of Losari Beach. Losari beach is the icon of Makassar which is very famous with its uniqueness where you can see sunset and sunrise from there. But 1st i decided to just take a rest and in the afternoon i for the 1st time went to a Theme Park, something we don’t have in Sumbawa :D....Trans Studio Makassar is an indoor Theme Park and i was excited about being there till i really tried those attractions like roller coaster, i felt like an idiot but i don’t think i would try something like that ever again -,-. The haunted house was not that scary but the guard in Ripper costume scared me to death when he welcomed us  -,-

The next day, in the morning i wanted to explore the hotel, they have pretty nice pool with small port on it. Since i caouldn’t swim, all i did was get on the fort andd took some pictures at the pool, the view from my room was very nice too. It was exactly in front of Losari Beach that i actually could see sunset from my room. Aryaduta hotel is an old hotel but it’s in a good location and it’s classy.

After enjoying the hotel, i went to visit Fort Rotterdam which is not that far from where i stayed. I took Becak (pedicab) to get there and in front of the Fort gate, some guys offered us a boat going to some islands around but i was thinking to just talk to them later after visiting Fort. Fort Rotterdam itself is a historical fort from the 17th century which was built as a blockhouse of Makassar people from Dutch colonialism. I actually didn’t really entered any room but just walked around the building and they even have souvenir store in it.

But too too toooo bad that after exploring the fort, it started to rain. So it was impossible going to any island. It was very disappointing since going to some small islands around was actually my main destinations i really wanted to see. So thinking maybe i could just do the next morning before going back to Sumbawa. So i went to pretty famous restaurant for Coto Makassar, which is a very famous dish in Makassar. Too many people at the restaurant that i had to wait to get a table. But it tasted so good especially in the rain, even tho no one to hug to keep me warm i guess Coto Makassar made me feel even warmer -,-.

In the evening, it was pretty cloudy but so many people at Losari waiting for sunset. There were many sellers selling local food along the way in front of Losari. The sunset was nice even tho it wasn’t that perfect but the next day was still pretty disappointing cause it was still raining so i didn’t go to any island at all :(. But i guess it is a reason to be back to Makassar again next time. Actually still many other places i wanna go in Makassar, they have many nice places but at that time i couldn’t really go anywhere because of the weather. So yep...next time \\(^o^)//
