Kertasari Beach Taliwang – West Sumbawa

A year ago i went to this beach but it was just for a few minutes cause when i just arrived there i realized i lost my camera so i went back to the city looking for it instead of enjoying the beach. It was not that i care more about the cam then the beach but it was my friend’s cam so i felt responsible to find it which i didn’t so i bought the new one for her.

But btw few months ago and yea i just wrote about it now, i went to Kertasari Beach again. It was about 3,5 hours driving to Sumbawa and it’s pretty easy to find, and actually within those past few months i went there twice already. At 1st we just accidentally went there after being confuse about where to go in West Sumbawa then quickly decided to go to Kertasari Beach and we loved it so we went there again couple weeks after that and stayed for a night at the beachfront hotel there Whales and Waves Hotel.

The hotel is nice and pretty private. For the guesthouse it costs $50 and as i remember it was $300 for the villa. The beach in front of it was really nice. White sands and clear water and local people i think together with local government doing seaweed cultivation around the beach. 

Since i can’t swim so i didn’t do much there besides got into water, snorkeling. And because i didn’t go that far all i could see was just seaweed, or maybe because i swam in their seaweed cultivation area -,- but there was a point under the ship, so many small fish that always swim in a group and it looked so nice.

Not so many people at the beach, well i think it’s not that popular yet but the beach looks really nice and clean. I hope when more people come there they can keep it always clean. The hotel we stayed at, they also offer other facilities, like surfing, paragliding and there are some hammocks where guests could chill while enjoying the  sea view. The hotel restaurant was pretty cool too with delicious food. 

The next day on the way back to Sumbawa Besar we stopped at Tano to enjoy sunset, and i went there few times already, it was always amazing.

Btw I would recommend anyone to go to this beach maybe for camping or if you guys wanna stay at Whales & Waves, it was a nice place. Just keep it clean and enjoy nature!
