Nambung Beach - West Lombok

Never heard about Nambung Beach at all before till i read someone's post on Facebook Backpacker Group. What interests me so much was because when the waves got high, it hits the rock and created a sea waterfall. So with limited info about the beach, i went to Lombok by myself special for finding this beach.

I contacted my bro and we had a deal that we would go there together. But that day when we supposed to go, he kinda upset me cause he didn't wanna wake up. I mean you know how it feels,, I went to Lombok for this beach and we arranged everything about going there but someone wanna messed up your plan, it would be so suck so i told my brother that of the plan was canceled, i would kill him. Just like that and then he woke up and we started driving to the beach -_-. He still talks about my threat till now -,-. 

So from Mataram it should be only about 2 hours but my brother drove soooo slow so it took like 3 hours to get to the beach. We were not sure where the beach exactly but on the way we met some high school students who also were going to the beach so we went together. 

What i liked about it was because they just found out about the beach and the government already started to fix the access to the beach. They were working on the road when we went there i guess now it's super easy to get to the beach. Because the beach itself is very close to the main road. When you got to Buwun Mas Village, Sekotong, you will find the sign and drive a lil bit to get to beach area. No parking area yet at that time but we parked our motorbike in a villager's house. Parking fee is up to you but we paid Rp. 10.000 for that. 

The beach was almost empty, it was only me, my brother, 4 high school students and like 4 other visitors. We bought some coconuts from villagers and i bought it for the high school students for their help taking us to the beach. Then we walked a lil bit to find the waterfall location, we just followed other people and found a big rock that looked like the one i saw on Facebook picture and no waterfall yet. So i asked my brother to stand behind and waited for waves till it created the waterfall :P. And after awhile, we got the shot yayyyy!

The beach was so clean, at least when i was there, i guess villagers really take care of it, which is good, white sands feel so soft and actually till now i never really heard people going there, it's not as popular as other places in Lombok yet, but gotta be careful with quiet place tho, cause as i heard before someone got robbed there and that was actually what made my brother had a doubt about going there especially it was only both of us. But Thank God nothing bad happened, besides that nothing to worry about, Nambung is a nice place to get relaxed, away from the crowd.
