Lawar Beach - West Sumbawa

I didn’t know why but past few weeks i kept thinking about Lawar beach, that i really wanted to go there again. Been there once last year to enjoy sunset but i wanted to enjoy it in daytime. So after having long discussion with friends about where to go, i successfully convinced them to go camping at Lawar beach, wooohooo \\(^o^)//

We promised to leave at 7 am but agaiiiin as always it became 7.30 am (and they said it wasn’t that bad cause usually they were late for like an hour or more pfffff). But we stopped at some places too, after driving for like an hour and half we stopped at Utan District to eat somewhere there, then drove for another hour to Seteluk District to pick up the sandwiches i asked my sister to make, then another 30 minutes to pick up a friend who lives in Taliwang, he even prepared some chicken for us to cook at campsite, and the last person to pick up was our friend’s gf, so it was 6 of us. Gotta stop somewhere for awhile because of the rain.

Yoyo Beach
We arrived at our campsite, Lawar beach around 12.30 pm. Oh before we decided to build our tent there a friend suggested us to see another beach that we prolly like, Yoyo beach. Yoyo beach was nice,it was clean and there were some surfers surfing, the waves were pretty big. But my 1st plan was camping at Lawar so i really wanted to do that so then we moved back to Lawar, build our tent, set up hammocks and be lazy laying in hammock for hours.

Btw it’s very easy to find this beach, there is main intersection when you arrive in Sekongkang district and just went to the right from the intersection and then just go straight till you find the beach. If you don’t wanna stop and still wanna go straight after you found the beach then you prolly end up in Bikini Bottom -,-

Lawar beach was really nice and quiet, pretty big waves with stunning white sands, but it was really bad that there were many trash around and in the ocean :(. But sunset time was very amazing, it was pretty cloudy so we couldn’t really see the sunset but the color in the sky was just beautiful,,,like seriously! I didn’t take a picture of it but my friend did so i asked his permission to post his sunset picture here \\(^o^)//

After being lazy, we set a fire and cooked the chicken and then be lazy again and again and again. Almost everyone didn’t even wanna sleep in tent and stayed in hammocks instead. Till midnite some people came, fishermen i guess and checked on us but ended up playing cards with the guys while i was still laying in my hammock peacefully

It wasn’t that cold at night but the mosquitoes were so annoying, my body still itchy till now :(, my bad tho, i was the only one who didn’t wanna use the anti-mosquito cream, i thought i wasn’t their type but i guess i was pretty tempting -,-. At the dawn the wind was being crazy, some friends moved to their tent finally because of that. In the morning some people came to swim and spearfishing. Well they didn’t get any fish as i seen -,-

After enjoying breakfast (bread with jam and pop mieeeeee) some friends went swimming. I brought swimming suit but then changed my mind, the waves were pretty big and as the universe knows i can’t swim so i just stayed there laying in hammock again watching people swimming -,-

We left the beach around 1.30 pm and just like how we came, he stopped in some places to take some friends back home and the sandwich Tupperware in my sister’s place -,- where we stopped and taking a rest for awhile with coffee, pudding and bakso. We arrived in Sumbawa Besar around 8 pm and as i'm writing this story, i already feel like going back to Lawar beach for another camping,,,without mosquitoes...and trash....and rain......
