Who
doesn’t know Gili Trawangan, it’s like one of the most popular places in
Indonesia. I wrote about it together with the other Gilis before (Gili Air
& Gili Meno) but i recently went there again so i feel like writing about
it with my new story and of course new pictures :D.

Farhan Syadli

Once upon a time.....iissshh..... a friend of mine showed me
pictures of the waterfalls i never heard of before. I instantly fell in
love.....to the waterfalls, not to my friend!. Since then i kept forcing him to
take me there. After his few “i’m still busy” weeks, we finally went there
last Sunday.

Finding Beaches (Labangka)
It shouldn’t be that hard to find good beaches in Sumbawa. But my
poor memory and bad navigation skill made it so hard to find a beach i’ve been
to few months ago, or the other beaches i went to many times before. Wish i
could upgrade brain and memory -,-.
Saketok Waterfall
In the forest area of Marente Village, Alas District there are 3 waterfalls that are recently
getting more and more famous for its beauty. They are Sebra (the highest one in
Sumbawa Island), Agal and Saketok. I’ve been to Agal few months ago and last
weekend i went to Saketok with 3 other friends.

Kenawa Island.....Again!!!
Yesss
again!! I’ve been there 3 times already, but who will ever get bored of
Kenawa’s beauty. One of 7 small unihabited islands in Tano District - West
Sumbawa, kenawa is the most popular one. A tiny pretty island surrounded by
beautiful beaches with small hill on it. Perfeito!!!

I don’t know why i never paid attention to Sandropole beach before
even tho my friends mentioned about it several times. I guess its also cause i
never really saw any pictures of it. But i’m glad that i finally went there and
it is just another cool place in Sumbawa i wanna recommend.

Tunak Beach – Central Lombok
Tunak
Beach was one of my destinations on my 9 days trip exploring Lombok Island on
December 2014. I actually heard about this beach from my lil bro who lives in
Lombok. At 1st i kinda underestimated him cause i thought he hasn’t
seen lot of beaches yet so for him this one is beautiful, he was never interested
in traveling-,-.

Labangka 4 Beach - Sumbawa
I call it Labangka 4 beach cause it is located in Labangka 4
village, Labangka District – Sumbawa. I asked some people about its name but no
one really knows it. So i guess call it Labangka 4 beach is okay for now. It is one of many
amazing beaches in the south part of Sumbawa Island.
4 Days Trip to Bali & Makassar
Last July after Eid we still had some days off and it was pretty
boring to just spend it at home so i decided to do a short trip to Makassar via
Bali. Well even tho only staying in Bali for few hours while waiting for my
next flight going to Makassar which should be at 8 pm but it was delayed till
midnight -,-. So i had half day in Bali that i was spending with my bestfriend
who lives there.
Mangku Sakti Waterfall – North Lombok
I
heard about this waterfall couple months ago from someone’s post on Travel
Community page on Facebook, and it looked really nice. I went to Lombok Island
a lot but didn’t know about this waterfall so i guess it was pretty new. I like that thing about myself that once i saw a nice picture of a new place, then i'm gonna try to find it no matter what -,-

Keramat Island - Sumbawa
Whenever
i think about Keramat island, i always imagine hammocking and swimming at the beautiful
beach on the empty island, hand in hand walking along the shore with the beloved one, snorkeling and
laying on its stunning white sands. Luckily
i always got it all whenever i go there unless that ‘hand in hand’ part -,-.

Sendang Gile & Tiu Kelep Waterfalls – Lombok
Lombok never stop to satisfy me with its beauty. It has so many beautiful places to visit. As i'm so into nature, beaches and waterfalls are my favorite spots to visit in Lombok. And talking about waterfalls, Sendang Gile & Tiu Kelep Waterfalls are probably the most famous waterfalls in Lombok Island.
Dangar Ode Island– Sumbawa

Traveling alone is fun, but travel with fun friends
are even better. When i 1st found out about Adventurous Sumbawa 2 years ago on

Lakey Beach - Dompu
Lakey Beach is the most famous surfing spot in
Sumbawa Island. And just because i can’t swim or surf, it doesn’t mean that i
can’t go there to enjoy looking at the surfers, i mean the beach! Beach!! Located
in Hu’u District, Dompu Regency, approximately 6 hours from Sumbawa Besar city.

Kalela Waterfall – West Sumbawa
The power of social media! It works on me so well, once i saw a
picture or heard about a new place that
attracts me so much, then i would go and find it. Just like once i saw a
picture on friend’s Facebook about Kalela waterfall. Never heard of it before
but that picture looks wonderful and God knows how much i love waterfalls. So
what did i do next? Sent a message to that friend asking about the location and
that was it. Contacted some friends who wanted to join and started the
adventure.

About 145 people participated in this trip.
Kertasari Beach Taliwang – West Sumbawa
A
year ago i went to this beach but it was just for a few minutes cause when i
just arrived there i realized i lost my camera so i went back to the city
looking for it instead of enjoying the beach. It was not that i care more about
the cam then the beach but it was my friend’s cam so i felt responsible to find
it which i didn’t so i bought the new one for her.

I didn’t know why but past few weeks i kept thinking about Lawar beach, that i really wanted to go there again. Been there once last year to enjoy sunset but i wanted to enjoy it in daytime. Nambung Beach - West Lombok
Never heard about Nambung Beach
at all before till i read someone's post on Facebook Backpacker Group. What
interests me so much was because when the waves got high, it hits the rock and
created a sea waterfall. So with limited info about the beach, i went to Lombok
by myself special for finding this beach.

Tanjung Pasir - Moyo Island
Most of
people probably think that Moyo Island is all about fancy resort and Mata Jitu
waterfall. But besides that Moyo has some nice beaches, like Tanjung Pasir
which is located in a south part of Moyo Island.
Tanjung Aan - Central Lombok
One of a
must visit places in Lombok if i may suggest. Tanjung Aan is one of many
beautiful beaches in a southeastern part of Lombok Island. About 8 km to the
east from the famous Kuta Beach. Not as crowded as Kuta, which is good so it’s
more relaxing to be at.
Kenawa Island - Sumbawa
One of
most favorite spots to spend weekend, camping, snorkeling or watching sunset in
Sumbawa,,,yeah Kenawa Island is a perfect example of a tiny uninhabited island
where you can do so many things in one place on your vacation.

Pasir Putih Beach - Lunyuk
Another

Dewa Beach & Cave
Labangka is a district in the
southeast part of Sumbawa that is well-known as the biggest corn producer in
NTB Provice. But besides that, Labangka has many beautiful spots to explore and
enjoy which is too bad that many people don't really know about it yet.

Jelenga Beach - West Sumbawa
West Sumbawa is one of the
Regencies in Sumbawa Island that is so famous with its nice beaches. I went
there many times actually but never get bored of it (all my pictures in this article are from 4 different occasions but i went there more than that). West Sumbawa itself
consists of 8 districts where in every district they have their own nice
beaches, or any other tourist attractions like waterfalls, caves or traditional
villages
Company Trip To Bali

Tanjung Menangis - Sumbawa
If
you ask what is the most popular place in Sumbawa right now, the answer
might me Tanjung Menangis. Tanjung means cape and menangis means cry.
Based on its legend it says that long ago a lady jumped to the ocean
cause his father didn’t allow her to marry a guy she loved, well bad
decision, young lady! Your father probably was right, maybe he knew the
guy was not good for you. Man always knows when other man is no good.
Labuan Bajo (Rinca & Kelor) - NTT
East
Nusa Tenggara (NTT) is one of Provinces in the eastern part of
Indonesia which is getting more and more popular nowadays. Consists of ±
550 islands with 3 main islands which are Flores, Sumba & Timor. I
once went to Flores specifically Labuan Bajo. Labuan Bajo itself is the
gate of Flores which is also the launching point going to Komodo, Rinca
or any other islands around.
11 Days Trip to West Sumbawa & Lombok
The
trip started when for the 1st time our company gave us almost 2 weeks
new year holiday. Me and my other 2 coworkers decided to go to Lombok,
and before i did it i posted about that trip on Couchsurfing.com to find
some travelmates. Well it kinda worked, so ended up with 3 of us (me
and 2 coworkers) and a friend from Finland, also a friend from Germany, 5
of us.
Leppu Beach - Labangka 3
Leppu
Beach is one many cool beaches in Labangka, south part of Sumbawa
Island. It is located in Labangka 3. Labangka itself is a district,
consists of 5 villages, Labangka 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5. Labangka is also
the largest corn producer in NTB Province. South beaches are famous with
their big waves, perfect for surfing but since it's still less known so
not so many people visit those beaches, besides still difficult to
access and no accommodations around.
Ai Beling Waterfall
Ai
Beling Waterfall as people believe is one of the best waterfalls in
Sumbawa Island. It is located in Semamung Village, Moyo Hulu District,
Sumbawa. Ai means water and Beling means sound, so it means something
like the sound of water :D
Liang Petang & Liang Bukal (Caves)
Liang
Petang and Liang Bukal are two natural caves in Moyo Hulu District, Ai
Renung Village. The distance between two caves are not that far from
each other so it’s great to spend a day off exploring both caves or even
visiting the ancient tomb, Sarchopagus, which is still in the same
area.
Sunday, June 5, 2016
Sarcophagus (Ancient Tomb) – Aik Renung
In
Sumbawa Island, there are some ancient tomb spots. One of the famous
ones (and the only i’ve been to) is Ai Renung Sarcophagus. Located in
Aik Renung Village, Moyo Hulu District. Still in a same area with the
caves, Liang Bukal & Liang Petang.
